I write a lot of different songs. Some with a serious thought behind them, others which are just basically daft. I've always enjoyed the mixture, and resisted doing an album that was all just funny songs.

I also had this song about "squeezing spots" which I wrote for a youth conference I did once. I thought it was quite funny, but never felt it fitted on any of my "proper" albums. It's just a little too silly, a little too gross (I had a lady walk out once when I sang it at a gig. Ooops!).

Then I was thinking about doing something for Comic Relief, and these three thoughts came together, and I made "The Funny Songs EP" bringing together the funny stuff from my other albums with a new recording of The Spot Song which I made at home this week.

I know a few people have been after a recording of the Spot Song for a few years, so now's your chance to grab it. You can listen to all the tracks in full, but if you enjoy it, do please buy it - all proceeds to Comic Relief, and it's very easy to download the tracks and get them into iTunes or whatever else you usually use.
